San Juan Mountain Guides LLC
Our guides are professionally trained instructors with extensive personal and professional experience in mountain ranges around the world, and with clients from diverse backgrounds,ages, and ability levels. All our guides call the San Juans home, and know how to give every guest the best experience possible. Clint Cook, our director and head guide is one of a few Americans to be internationally licensed as a UIAGM/IFMGA Certified Mountain Guide, and AMGA Certified Rock, Alpine, and Ski Mountaineering Guide. All our guides are certified Wilderness First Responders and have formal training in climbing instruction, guiding, and avalanche hazard assessment. We pride ourselves on developing relationships with people and securing partnerships that last for many years of fulfilling climbing and skiing. We offer both group courses and private guiding to meet your schedule and budget. We guide here in Ouray, all over the San Juans, San Miguels, in the Black Canyon of the Gunnison, Colorado National Monument, Unaweep Canyon, Castle Valley, and in the Moab, Utah area. We also guide in the European Alps, Alaska, Canada, and Bolivia.
