Summer Activities

Ouray

Your choice of summer recreation is unlimited. Ouray is an enthusiast's dream!! Explore the mountains on foot, horseback, four-wheel drive, raft or climb the shear cliffs- there's a route for everyone. The panoramic vistas, mountian basins with waterfalls and wildflowers, are waiting to be captured on film - so don't forget your camera!

Please only take photographs and leave only foot prints. Pack it in and pack it out.

JULY 4TH EVENTS

July 3rd
9PM – Firefighters Dance – Community Center

July 4th
6AM – Pancake Breakfast, Community Center – Ouray Mountain Rescue (fundraiser)
10AM – 4th of July Parade on Main Street
Immediately following parade – Children’s games at Fellin Park

11:30 AM to 2:30 PM San Juan Mountain Guides announces TWO dates for Zip Line runs across the Uncompaghre Gorge. After the parade and before the water fights. The cost is $10per ride. 325-4925
